Callao, Peru
Callao is the port for Lima.
Because of the political unrest, all stops in Peru were cancelled, but we needed to make a refueling stop. It was announced that no one would be allowed off the ship, but then at the last minute they announced that we could go to a small area with tourist tents right on the pier. So we did!
Once again, a busy port! Bill says he feels like we’re on a freighter, hence all the “busy ports.”
Note the cordoned off area and the tourist kiosks: that was our contact with Peru! Lol
We did our part. Tourist tax!
We crossed the equator back in Ecuador, but we just got our official certificates! Woohoo
Impressive certificates. Wait til you flash those around DC, imagine the looks you'll get. And how many more will you get on this trip? (FB)
